Président Region europe – Alstom

Gian Luca Erbacci è Senior Vice President Europe dal luglio 2017. Grazie a questa funzione, è membro del Comitato Esecutivo. Il 29 gennaio 2021, è stato confermato nella sua posizione di Europe Region President per il nuovo Gruppo Alstom a seguito dell’acquisizione di Bombardier Transportation.
Dal 2014, Gian Luca Erbacci ha ricoperto il ruolo di Senior Vice President di Alstom Medio Oriente, Africa e Asia Centrale. Prima di tale posizione, Gian Luca ha guidato dal 2010 al 2013 la regione dell’Europa meridionale, Medio Oriente e Nord Africa.
Dal 2009 al 2010, Gian Luca è stato Vice President dell’unità Train Life Services di Alstom Transport.
Dal 2005 al 2009, Gian Luca ha lavorato con Trenitalia – l’operatore ferroviario italiano – dove ha assunto la responsabilità delle operazioni tecniche. Gian Luca ha lavorato anche con il Gruppo Camozzi (Settore Macchine Utensili) e con Fomas (componenti per i settori dell’Energia, Nucleare e Oil and Gas), come CEO.
Nel 1998, Gian Luca è entrato in Alstom (precedentemente Fiat Ferroviaria) come Direttore Industriale. Ha anche ricoperto diverse posizioni quali responsabile dei carrelli, del veicolo tranviario e dell’unità di ingegneria del materiale rotabile.
Gian Luca Erbacci ha conseguito una laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica e una in Astronomia, entrambe presso l’Università Alma Mater di Bologna.

Gian Luca Erbacci has been Senior Vice President Europe since July 2017. In this function, he is a member of the Executive Committee. On January 29th, 2021, he has been confirmed in his position as Europe Region President for the new Group when Alstom acquired Bombardier Transportation.
Gian Luca Erbacci was Senior Vice President of Alstom Middle East, Africa and Central Asia since 2014. Prior to that position, Gian Luca was covering the Southern Europe, Middle East and North Africa Region from 2010 to 2013.
From 2009 to 2010, Gian Luca was Vice President of the Train Life Services unit of Alstom Transport.
From 2005 to 2009, Gian Luca worked with Trenitalia – the Italian rail operator – where he took the responsibility of the Technical Operations. Gian Luca worked as well with the Camozzi Group (Machine Tools Sector) and with Fomas (components for the Power Generation, Nuclear and Oil and Gas Sectors), as CEO.
In 1998, Gian Luca joined Alstom (previously Fiat Ferroviaria) as Industrial Director. He has also held different positions, in charge of the Bogies, Light Rail Vehicle, and the Rolling Stock Engineering unit.
Gian Luca Erbacci holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and a one in Astronomy, both from the Alma Mater University of Bologna.
